Now Playing: Redding Brothers
Saturday, February 26th, 2005Micah does Last-Minute Show at Taylor Books
Friday, February 18th, 2005Tomorrow, Friday, 7:30-9:30pm at Taylor Books in Charleston, Micah will be performing solo. Fun, fun, fun.
(PS. Fletcher’s Grove ended up playing, and it was cool. We just switched off every 15 minutes.)
MORP @ Hurricane Highschool
Sunday, February 13th, 2005Gotta say it, MORP was awesome. Gregg Oxley put this thing on, and it was great. The lineup was something like this:
*Fletcher’s Grove (Ryan Krofcheck, Matt, & Evan)
Another Band with a girl singer (named Maura) that had an awesome voice
At Dawn We Die
One Last Call – pop/rock/emo
The Redding Brothers (that’s us)
Fairweather Fan
*The Present Crisis
Scenes From A Movie
I missed some of the names of the bands…if anyone knows them, let me know. Anyway, it was great; haven’t had that much fun at a concert in a while.

New Tourdate System
Friday, February 11th, 2005Ooooh…the excitement. We’ve updated our tour page system, so it’s a lot better than it used to be. Now, the next upcoming concerts are actually at the top, and the ones after that are below, etc. Just like a real tourdate calendar should work. You can still see our past events with a “Previous Page” button at the bottom of the calendar.
Only problem is, now you can’t post comments on individual concerts. But there’s always a price to pay, I guess.
Yes, you heard right. Siah’s not going to be playing with us this evening. He “forgot” about it, and didn’t get a chance to ask off work. Oh well.
Tomorrow is MORP…the ANTI-PROM.
The Forgotten
Friday, February 11th, 2005Okay, so this one lady remembers her son dying, but everyone else thinks she’s crazy. She never had a son, according to her husband, her doctor, the neighbors. Her photo albums are empty, her home videos are blank.
But she still remembers.
She finally convinces someone else to remember their child as well. Suddenly, NSA agents are chasing her all over the city. She’s on the run – from the government, the police, and apparently, alien forces.
People start zipping up into the sky, snatched by these mysterious forces.
Turns out the aliens are running experiments on humanity. They’re trying to get her to forget, to dissolve the bond between mother and child. And she’s the only one it doesn’t work with.
One of the aliens finally grabs her and personally erases her earliest memory of her child.
And still she remembers.
And that means the alien has failed. His superiors are very angry, and he is whisked up into the sky, presumably to be punished for his failure. She gets her kid back, and everything goes back to the way it was.
Which just goes to show: the thing you can count on is that, when dealing with entities, human or alien or whatever, one thing is always the same.
Bureaucracy.

Great Weekend
Sunday, February 6th, 2005Hey everyone…we started off the weekend with the clutch going out in my vehicle, leaving me transportation-less, but it was all uphill…err…downhill…err…good from there. We played on Friday at Common Grounds in Lexington, and the show went MUCH better than our last show there during which all of our equipment fried. We spent the night there in Georgetown (suburb of Lexington), and then headed up to Dayton in the morning.
After hanging around Dayton all day looking at guitar and computer stores, trying to find a free coffee-maker, and otherwise wandering all over the city, we ended the night playing with Torn From Red, Alter Boy, & Finding Windemere at the Attic Club, an interesting teen club in a strip mall. It was cool.
Now, we’re busy working on this weekend’s stuff. The Open Mic/Talent Showcase is returning. Be there!
