New Photos & New Website (in case you hadn’t noticed)

Friday, November 26th, 2004

We’ve just posted some new photos on our photos page (imagine that). Anyway, some of them are from our Battle of The Bands Show, and you might be in them. Warning: Some of the pictures are kinda large, and might take a while to load. We’re actually working on downsizing them right now.

Also, if you hadn’t noticed, our website has been revamped again. Let us know what you like/dislike about the new design. The new setup allows you to leave comments on just about everything here, from the pictures to this post itself. Just look for the “comments” line below, and click it. If you’ve ever used a blog, you shouldn’t have a problem with this.

That’s it for now. It snowed today – it’s time to drink some eggnog.

On Sunday (November 14th), the Huntington Herald-Dispatch ran a full-size article on the Reddings Brothers in their Life section. The article discussed the Got Milk? Battle of the Bands, as well as the brothers’ music career in general, and featured a couple of photos of the event.

Gabe back safe and unsound (mentally, that is)

Tuesday, November 16th, 2004

Well, our concert on Saturday went well, we had a lot of fun, and Gabe finally got back – a day late, and a dollar short – as the saying goes. So since we’re dorks, we spent the day restructuring our sound system, because believe it or not, we couldn’t think of anything that would be more fun than that.

In concert news, we just confirmed a concert for December 17 at The Colony Theater in Hillsboro, Ohio. It sounds like it will be pretty fun; we’re opening for some regional bands. The theater hosts around 150 teenagers at these rock nights.

And I had a frozen Chai for the first time in a while. It was good.

DVD TV Series – 24

Monday, November 1st, 2004

I’m almost finished with the second volume of the first season. This is a great show, very original, entertaining and compelling.

Everything happens in real-time, which is an awesome idea for a show. In other words, the show is an hour long, and covers exactly an hour of plot-time. When the show breaks for commercials, it comes back in exactly that length of time later. The season is 24 episodes long. It’s awesome.

It basically has several different stories which intersect going on at the same time. The main guy’s daughter gets kidnapped, terrorists plot to kill a presidential candidate, the candidate has some personal family issues going on, etc, etc.

And how awesome is it to watch a bunch of people stay up 24 hours at a time?

MOVIE – Van Helsing

Monday, November 1st, 2004

This movie involves Dracula, vampire-wives, Frankenstein AND his monster, Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, the Catholic Church, some creepy people, and a very attractive looking female monster-hunter. Oh yeah, and a lot of cheesy special effects.

They should have learned from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen not to try to use a huge animated Mr. Hyde character. But they didn’t. That’s the worst part of this movie. The not-very-masculine Dracula didn’t help either.

But it was entertaining.

And if you still haven’t figured out, Van Helsing is really an amnesiatic archangel Gabriel, the “Left Hand of God”.

MOVIE – Ned Kelly

Monday, November 1st, 2004

This based-on-a-true-story tale of an Australian outlaw was pretty good. Not too cliche, just enough adventure, humor, and romance to make this balance out well for a real good movie.
